Classes and Workshops

I work and teach in Holwell Studio, near Widecombe in the Moor. Teaching is in regular small and informal claygroups on Thursday, Friday and Saturday afternoons, other times by arrangement. I also run occasional offsite workshops, details on the appropriate websites or Instagram.

The studio is in a beautiful location, between Haytor and Hound Tor, but just 15 minutes from Bovey Tracey.

Contact me, for details and availability, email or through Instagram (link above on the header) is best, the phone signal here is poor. We have a Whats App group for members.

All ceramic interests and abilities are catered for, an experimental approach is welcomed, if your inclusions are wild, we'll make a saggar, otherwise, the only limits are the kiln sizes.....

Sessions are 2.5 hours, basic materials and first firing included, (with tea, coffee and biscuits of course). If you want to use more expensive materials, porcelain or black clay for instance, or multiple-fire work, we negotiate based upon cost. If a session is cancelled with less than 48 hours notice, and a the place is not filled by someone else, it must be paid for.

We have a kick wheel, I can arrange for special throwing tuition if required.

Free parking, wheelchair access, compost loo, (unfortunately this may be difficult for wheelchair users).
